Pretext - noun something serving to conceal plans; a fictitious reason that is concocted in order to conceal the real reason

Blithely - adv. in a joyous manner

Prance - verb ride a horse such that it springs and bounds forward; cause (a horse) to bound spring forward; spring forward on the hind legs; to walk with a lofty proud gait, often in an attempt to impress others

Honor - noun  having a good name; a tangible symbol signifying approval or distinction

Color - verb add color to; gloss or excuse; decorate with colors; modify or bias often in an undesired manner; affect as in thought or feeling

Shaft - noun a long rod or pole (especially the handle of an implement or the body of a weapon like a spear or arrow)

Gaiter - noun legging consisting of a cloth or leather covering for the leg from the knee to the ankle; a shoe covering the ankle with elastic gores in the sides
